Abstract:

This sealing device is provided with: a plurality of non-contact seals (7A-7C, 9A, and 9B) that are provided along a sealed shaft (1); contact seals (8, 10) that are provided to at least one of the two sides of the non-contact seals; an injection part (11) that injects a purge gas to first spaces (Sc, Sb) among spaces between the non-contact seals and between the contact seals arrayed in the axial direction of the sealed shaft; and recovery parts (12A, 12B) that recover the purge gas from second spaces (Sl, Sr, and Sa) positioned adjacently to the first spaces in the axial direction among the spaces between the non-contact seals and between the contact seals.
