Abstract:
A sealing device for minimizing leakage of a fluid flowing through an annular gap between a stationary member and a rotating member of a rotating machine comprises an annular fixed fin provided to the annular gap, and an annular movable fin provided axially adjacent to the fixed fin in the annular gap, the movable fin having a greater coefficient of thermal expansion than the fixed fin and being fixed to the fixed fin only in a fixing area on the proximal-end side of the movable fin.
