Abstract:
In order to increase the lubrication of the sliding section (S) of a sealing lip (13), the disclosed sealing device (10), which seals a fluid containing a lubricating oil at the periphery of a horizontal rotating shaft (2), is provided with: the sealing lip (13) that, in a state facing the interior space (A) side, is slidably put in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the rotating shaft (2) that has been inserted into the inner periphery of a housing (1); and an oil supply member (16) that extends in a manner covering the interior space (A) side of the sealing lip (13). A required number of windows (161, 162) are opened in the oil supply member (16) at a position above the sealing lip (13), and at the minor-diameter side, the end facing towards the interior space (A) approaches the outer peripheral surface of the rotating shaft (2) and has a configuration wherein a guide tube section (16d) is formed that becomes larger in diameter towards the outer peripheral side of the sealing lip (13).
