Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sealing device which can prevent the invasion of muddy water or dusts from outside effectively in a limited space even when used at shaft seal parts of farm machines, construction machines and the like, which are usually exposed to severe external (atmosphere-side) environments such as muddy water, for a long period.
Thus, provided is a sealing device for sealing a gap between a housing and a rotation axis which extends through the housing, which comprises a sealing member that is held on the housing side, a sleeve member that is held on the rotation axis side and is composed of a metallic material, and a protection ring that is held on the sealing member side, wherein a narrow gap is formed between a guard part of the sleeve member and the protection ring.
