Abstract:
This sealing device is positioned between an inner-side member and an outer-side member, which rotate relative to each other. The sealing device has a first seal member and a second seal member. The first seal member has a cylindrical part attached to the outer-side member, and a lip. The second seal member has a cylindrical sleeve into which the inner-side member is fitted, and a flange that widens radially outward from the sleeve. The flange has a rigid flange part made of a rigid material and connected to the sleeve, and an annular elastic flange part in close contact with the rigid flange part. An annular protrusion in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the inner-side member is formed on the inner periphery of the elastic flange part. In an initial state, the inner peripheral surface of the protrusion has a columnar portion. The inside diameter of the columnar portion in the initial state is less than the inside diameter of the sleeve. In the initial state, the length of the columnar portion of the protrusion is 0.15 mm or greater.
