Abstract:
Provided are sealing devices for an anti-friction bearing such that pressure change in the interior of the bearing can be prevented without allowing moisture to enter the interior of the bearing, that furthermore, a gas passage can be secured without being blocked by grease or the like, and that it is possible to replace a filter alone. The sealing devices (6) serve to seal up a bearing space in a bearing provided with inner races (1), outer races (2, 3), and a plurality of rolling bodies (4) which are interposed between the inner races and the outer races, said bearing space being a space between the inner races and the outer races. The sealing devices (6) comprise annular sealing cases (11) which are fixed to the ends of the outer races (2), and annular seal bodies (12) the base ends of which are fixed to the inner peripheral surfaces of the sealing cases (11), and the tips of which are in contact with the inner races (1). Communication holes (15) which establish communication between the interior of the bearing and the exterior thereof are provided in the sealing cases (11). Filters (16) which are permeable to gas and which block passage of moisture and oil are provided in these communication holes (15).
