This sealing material discharge apparatus is for discharging a sealing material from a nozzle provided to the leading end of a cylindrical cartridge by pressing the sealing material in the cartridge by use of a piston. The sealing material discharge apparatus is provided with a movement means that moves the piston by rotation of a motor in the axial direction of the cartridge. The sealing material discharge apparatus executes a first stage control for controlling the motor such that the piston moves at a first speed to the leading end side of the cartridge when the sealing material is discharged from the nozzle, and executes a second stage control for controlling the motor such that the piston moves at a second speed lower than the first speed to the leading end side of the cartridge when the torque of the motor becomes greater than a threshold value during execution of the first stage control.
