Abstract:
Disclosed is a sealing member whereby the gap between the sealing member and the inner peripheral portion of a cable insertion hole formed in the housing of an electronic apparatus and the gap between the sealing member and the cable can be reliably sealed with a sealing material. Also disclosed is a cable provided with the sealing member. The sealing member (2) is provided with a section (21) with a tapered inner periphery having an opening that gradually becomes smaller from the end of the inner peripheral section into which a cable (1) is inserted to the other end of the inner peripheral section, and a sealing material (3) is filled into the section with a tapered inner periphery. Given that the opening at one end of the section with a tapered inner periphery is enlarged, it is sufficiently easy to fill the sealing material into the interior of the section with a tapered inner periphery from the large opening. Likewise, given that the opening in the section with a tapered inner periphery gradually becomes smaller, the cable (1) can be reliably held by the small opening.
