SEALING MEMBER FOR PIEZOELECTRIC OSCILLATION DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SEALING MEMBER

A sealing member for a piezoelectric oscillation device hermetically seals oscillation electrodes of a piezoelectric oscillation piece having the oscillation electrodes formed thereon.  The sealing member has a through hole for bringing electrode patterns formed on the both main surfaces of the base material of the sealing member into a conductive state, and the through hole is filled with a conductive member.  The through hole has a diameter inside the base material smaller than that at the both end sections of the sealing member.  The end surfaces of the conductive member respectively have shapes recessed from both the main surfaces of the base material of the sealing member.
