Abstract:
Elongate elastomeric sealing strip (10) comprising a longitudinally extending sealing member (15) integrally associated with a planar base (20), said sealing member having a hollow crocc-section profile (25) and a wall (30) defined by an external (35) and an internal boundary (40), said boundaries being parallel; said hollow cross-section profile (25) being symmetric around a perpendicular (45) to said base section, said perpendicular crossing the width of said base section at a point located equidistantly between the ends of the base section width, which sealing member comprises two integrally associated flanges (50, 55) that are thinner than said wall portion (30); said flanges protrude outwards from said wall portion at angles that diverge upwards from said perpendicular (45); said flanges extend, when the sealing strip is in an unladened state, beyond an upper tangential line to the sealing members, which upper tangential line is parallel to said planar base section.
