Abstract:
A seat belt retractor, comprising: a frame (1); a reel (3) rotatably supported in the frame (1) and used for winding webbing (2); a force limiting member (4) that fails when a predetermined load threshold is exceeded; and a pre-tensioning apparatus (10) having a drive wheel (6) coupled to the reel (3) via the force limiting member (4), the drive wheel (6) being capable of being driven such that the reel (3) rotates in the winding direction of the webbing to pre-tension the webbing. The drive wheel (6) has a direct torsion-resistant connection to the force limiting member (4) on a first side facing the reel (3) and, in addition to the torsion-resistant connection, the drive wheel (6) is rotatably supported relative to the reel (3). The seat belt retractor also comprises a locked stop wheel (9), and the drive wheel (6) has a direct torsion-resistant connection to the stop wheel (9) on a second side facing away from the reel (3). The present seat belt retractor has a compact structure and a stable force limiting function.
