Abstract:
A seat belt wearing sensor device which can detect seat belt wearing and a failure of the sensor device itself using a simple configuration.
A seat belt wearing sensor device (sensor device (100)) includes a seat belt buckle (108) and a reader (106) which performs the transmission and reception of a signal using an antenna to and from the seat belt buckle. The seat belt buckle is provided with: at least two IC tags (222, 224) which are disposed at different positions in the direction of insertion of a seat belt tongue plate; and a blocking plate (230) which slides in association with the insertion of the seat belt tongue plate into the seat belt buckle to thereby block the signal transmission and reception by the IC tags relative to the reader in such a manner that the different IC tags are used for the signal transmission and reception before and after the insertion of the seat belt tongue plate.
