Abstract:
A seat condition detection device has a sensor unit including pressure sensing switch units that are connected to each other in parallel. The pressure sensing switch units are each switched to either an ON state or an OFF state depending on pressure. The pressure sensing switch units are placed on a seat in a distributed manner. The seat condition detection device determines a load applied to the seat based on ON/OFF states of the pressure sensing switch units. The sensor unit has resistors for short circuit detection, and the resistors are connected in series to the pressure sensing switch units. Short circuit of a power source line for supplying electric power to the sensor unit is appropriately detected.
