Abstract:

Provided are a seat cushion and a vehicle seat a having a simple lightweight structure and offering comfort in a seated position. This seat cushion (S2) is provided with a seating frame (F), a cushion pad (2a) placed on the seating frame (F), and an outside layer material (2b) covering the seating frame (F) and the cushion pad (2a). The seating frame (F) is provided with a pair of side frames (11, 11) extending in the longitudinal direction; a front elastic member (14) provided across the side frames (11, 11) and in contact with the cushion pad (2a), and a rear elastic member (15) disposed at a predetermined distance from the front elastic member (14) and in contact with the cushion pad (2a). A pad contact surface (14a) of the front elastic member (14) is disposed so as to slant rearward relative to a horizontal surface (X). A pad contact surface (15a) of the rear elastic member (15) is disposed so as to slant forward relative to, or be parallel to, the horizontal surface (X).
