Abstract:
This seat device is capable of readily and reliably transforming the state of a seat. This seat device is equipped with: a pedestal (11) to be fixed on a floor surface; a movable platform (20) which is supported on the pedestal (11) so as to be capable of moving back and forth in the front-back direction; a seat underframe (30) which is supported on the movable platform (20) so as to be capable of rotating forward and backward; and a linkage mechanism (50) for causing back and forth movement of the movable platform (20) to be linked with the rotary movement of said underframe (30). The linkage mechanism (50) is equipped with: a plurality of cam grooves (51) which are provided to the pedestal (11) and which restrict the trajectory of rotation or back and forth movement of the underframe (30); a rotary body (52) that is provided to the underframe (30), that engages with the cam grooves (51) so as to be movable therealong, and that constantly maintains engagement with at least a portion of the cam grooves (51); and a switching part (53) which is provided at a branching point in the cam grooves (51) and which is capable of switching the direction in which the rotary body (52) is to be guided at said branching point.
