Abstract:
The present invention address the issue of providing a comfortable seat heater capable of heating a seat in accordance with whether or not a person is seated thereupon and capable of suppressing overheating of the seat. The seat heater (1) comprises: an elastomer base material (2); heat generating units (3A, 3B) having heat-generating layers (30A, 30B) including elastomer and a conductive material, and a pair of heat generating-unit wirings (31A, 31B) including the elastomer and the conductive material and connected to the heat-generating layers (30A, 30B); electrostatic capacitance-type seating detection units (4A, 4B) having a pair of electrode layers (41A, 41B) including elastomer and the conductive material, elastomer dielectric layers (40A, 40B) interposed between the pair of electrode layers (41A, 41B), and a pair of seating wirings (42A, 42B) including the elastomer and the conductive material and connected to the a pair of electrode layers (41A, 41B); and a control unit (7) that controls the heat generating units (3A, 3B) on the basis of signals from the seating detection units (4A, 4B).
