Abstract:
This seat pad (1) includes a surface layer part (1a) configured from polyurethane foam (11). A wiring groove (2), through which a wire harness (3) is wired, is formed in the surface layer part (1a). The wiring groove (2) has a groove width W less than the diameter (diameter of 3) of the harness (3) and a groove depth (D) greater than the diameter (diameter of 3) of the harness (3). This method for manufacturing a seat pad includes using a molding mold having a groove-forming protrusion for producing the wiring groove (2), the molding mold being such that holes are formed in the side surface of the groove-forming protrusion. In said method, a polyurethane foam material is supplied to the interior of the molding mold, and, when a molded article is retrieved from the molding mold, molded portions formed in the holes in the groove-forming protrusion are forcibly extracted from the holes.
