SEAT FOR SANITARY USE OF WATER-CLOSET
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1993/011693
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The device concerns a water-closet seat principally characterized by on the same level linear half-parts (1 and 2), with disposition of anatomic support of the sitting person, to form a support base equipped on its ends with axial front and hind bores (3) to fix on a couple of toilet paper strips (4) or other suitable means, foreseen bigger than said parts (1, 2) in a way that, when they are in position, they cover the parts (1, 2) on the four sides. This will allow users of the water-closet to avoid skin contact with a closet seat previously used by other persons.

1. Seat for sanitary use of watercloset which foresees a seat princi¬ pally characterized by on the same level linear halfparts (1 and 2), with natural disposition of anatomic support of the sitting person, to form a new kind support base facing equipped on its end with axial front and hind bores (3) to fix on its borders a couple of toilet paper strips (4) or other suitable means foreseen bigger of said parts to cover so to permit when they are in position to overflow on the fours sides. To realize the covering of said support base which preserves its setup, the user holds it with hands on its line borders brings the first of said toilet paper strip (4) on one of the support halfparts (1 or 2) and, holding with one hand a border of said strip slightly raised to permit its disposition in covering, he lets the other border fall so this border comes to cover the front of the pertinent end of the part to cover. Description:
"Seat for sanitary use of water-closet".

The invention refers to a water-closet seat of new kind substantially characterized by linear half-parts forming a support base, in essential comparison of anatomic support of the sitting person, equipped with 5 fixing means to permit, in manual feasibility, its complete cover which preserves its set-up using a couple of toilet paper strips of other means suitable for this aim. It constitutes the essential characteristic of the invented means the feature that the covering of the said anatomic comparison support base can be carried out 10 with bare hand and without any contact with the sanitary service. The forming of said support base of new kind and of the pertinent application system which preserves the set-up of the two strips which cover it, realize a new system for covering the water-closet that in principal way permits its use in complete sanitary safety / 15 condition. The said system feature to permit then the covering of said support base, in essential anatomic comparison, by means of

; ( two toilet paper strips of small dimensions, in sequence manually applying with mnemonic sequences, permits its universal use and it particularly gives the possibility to use it also in lack into

20 the lavatory of toilet paper delivering. In relation to what above

described it can be understood that the invented system is also compatible for the occasional user of the public sanitary service. In this way the invented system permits the total solution of a sanitary problem until now unsolved and it excludes the danger of infection, any contact with the eventually present dirt and more in general the great inconvenience for the user, in particular in case a public sanitary service, to must come in skin-deep contact with a water-closet which before was already used by other persons.

In essential the invented device foresees a water-closet seat princi¬ pally characterized by on the same level linear half-parts 1 and 2, with natural disposition of anatomic support of the sitting person, to form a new kind support base facing equipped on its ends with axial front and hind bores 3 to fix on its borders a couple of toilet paper strips 4 or other suitable means foreseen bigger of said parts to cover so to permit when they are in position to overflow on the four sides. To realize the covering of said support base which preserv¬ es its set-up, the user holds it with hands on its line borders brings the first of said toilet paper strip 4 on one of the support half-parts 1 o 2 and, holding with one hand a border of said strip slightly raised to permit its disposition in covering, he lets the other border fall so this border comes to cover the front of the pertinent end of the part to cover. Thenthe user fixes in position in the first binding point the strip 4 introducing it with a finger for blocking into the hollow the toilet paper piece which presses on the pertinent bore 3. Then it is completed the covering phase of the first half-part carrying out the fixing of the first strip 4 into the second binding point let the other border fall so that it cames in the same way to cover the front of the other end of the part to cover and fixing in position in the same way by means of a finger which introduces for blocking into the other hollow of the relative bore 3 the toilet paper piece which insists on it. Then alike it is actuated in sequence the covering of the second linear support half-part. In particular, to act as anatomic support

for the superior parts of the sitting person legs, the linear support half-parts 1 and 2 are foreseen in symmetrical disposition slightly converging toward the front side of the seat. In an embodiment it is foreseen a water-closet covering using a seat structure 5, in plastic material, with integrated the emerging linear support half- parts 1 and 2. To permit the complete covering of said half-parts 1 and 2 it is foreseen a lying behind spacer support 6 brings, on hinge 7, the cover 8.

Realization forms are illustrated in indicative way and not limiting of the system in drawings of sheets 1 and 2. With reference to sheet 1 fig. 1 is top view of the seat 5 with integrated the emerging linear support half-parts 1 and 2 for the positiong of the sitting person. Fig. 2 is view of a second embodiment which foresees the seat 9 with emerging linear support half-parts 10 and 11 always made on the base of the invented system. Fig. 3 is side view of the same seat 5 of fig. 1 whereas fig 4 is the perspective view of the same. Is is in particular seen in fig. 1, 2, 3 and 4 the couples of bores 3 foresee, on the front of the ends both of the linear support half-parts 1 and 2 than on the linear support half- parts 10 and 11. In sheet 2 fig. 5 shows in persepctive view an initial application phase of a first toilet paper strip 4 on a seat as illustrated in fig. 1, 3 and 4. It is seen the user who placed the strip 4 on a linear support half-part holds the same strip raises it on its border, so to keep it in position, while with a finger of the free hand he introduces the paper piece which presses in the pertinent bore 3 so to acting the fixing on the paper in a first binding point. Fig. 6 shows always in perspective view the application phase into a second binding point on the same seat of fig. 5 which completes the fixing of said toilet paper strip 4 on one half-part. Fih. 7 is perspective view of a water-closet equipped with a cover 8 showing in opening. From said figure are seen the linear support half-parts 1 and 2 already covered by a couple of toilet paper strips 4 fixed in position with two binding points for the correct use

- A - of the sanitary service.

In the realization the present fixing system of the covering parts on the half-parts of support of the sitting person could be oppurtunely changed and/or integrated with all other emerging means and/or inherent in the parts to cover for blocking the covering part in relation to the specific use necessities. The seat and the other parts of the covering could be foreseen in different way into the present system. The shapes, the materials, the different elements and whatever in order could be foreseen in other way.
