A seat sliding apparatus for a vehicle is provided with: an upper rail (5) for supporting a seat (1) from above; a lower rail (6) for supporting the upper rail (5) so as allow relative displacement, the lower rail (6) being fastened to the vehicle body; a block (7) having an inclined surface (12) that inclines so as to gradually approach the upper rail (5) moving from the center of the lower rail (6) toward an end part, the block (7) being fastened to the lower rail (6); and a pin member (8). The lower rail (6) is provided with a first attachment hole (5a). The block (7) is provided with a first insertion part (15) that is inserted into the first attachment hole (5a). The pin member (8) is configured so as to be inserted into the first attachment hole (5a) in a state of contact with the first insertion part (15). The first insertion part (15) and/or the pin member (8) are made to be elastically deformable. The external dimension of the first insertion part (15) and the pin member (8) together is longer than the internal dimension of the first attachment hole (5a).
