[PROBLEMS] In a seat for a welfare vehicle, in which a seat device that can be used as a wheelchair can double as a vehicle interior seat, the seat is conventionally constructed such that a footrest is raised or stowed by manual operation in order to prevent interference between the seat device and a step section of a door opening when the seat device is moved into a vehicle interior, and this manual operation has been bother. The seat of the invention solves this problem and the seat is constructed such that, as the seat device is moved into the vehicle interior, a footrest is automatically raised without operation to enable the seat device to pass the step section. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A footrest (210) is vertically movably provided using a four-joint parallel link (211), and a slope (251) is placed from the vehicle interior side so as to straddle a step section. The slope (210) is moved and raised along the slope (251) by movement of a seat device (S).
