Abstract:

Provided are a seating sensor for a vehicle seat and a structure for attaching the seating sensor which facilitate the attachment of the seating sensor to a cushion part. To achieve the above, the seating sensor includes: a flexible, film-form main body (21) that is adapted to be laid between a skin member (14) and the seating-side surface of a pad member (13), which has a recess (15), in a manner so as to traverse the recess, the film-form main body including a plurality of detecting sections (21a) that are arranged in contact with the seating-side surface of the pad member and that detect that a person is seated on the pad member, an output section (21b), and a conducting section (21c); and a retaining member (30) that retains a portion of a constituent part of the conducting section of the film-form main body in a curved state, that can be placed inside the recess together with the curved conducting-section constituent part, that has a pair of opposing wall sections (30a, 30b) respectively opposing the inner surfaces of the recess and a connecting section (30c) connecting one of the ends of the opposing wall sections, and that covers at least one surface of the curved conducting-section constituent part (31c) with the opposing wall sections and the connecting section.
