Abstract:
A seawater desalination apparatus is provided. The seawater desalination apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention is implemented by comprising: a pretreatment part comprising an electrocoagulation module for electrocoagulating suspended matter contained in inflowing seawater, and a filter module for filtering out aggregate contained in the electrocoagulation water having flowed in from the electrocoagulation module; and an osmotic filtration part comprising an osmotic membrane module for desalinating the pretreated water having flowed in from the pretreatment part. According to the present invention, foreign matter contained in seawater or brackish water, which is feed water, are effectively coagulated, and then the coagulated impurities are treated at a high speed and are discharged at a high flow rate, thereby enabling desalination flow rate to decrease and the durability of osmosis facilities for desalination to be remarkably improved. In addition, the present invention is eco-friendly since foreign matter can be removed without an additional chemical additive during treatment of seawater or brackish water, facilitates a backwash process for removing the foreign matter collected by pretreatment, has an extended use cycle due to high durability, and is very economical with respect to operations.
