Abstract:
A port seawater-suction box (7) comprising a seawater inlet (9) for introducing seawater from outside of a ship and a seawater outlet (13) for feeding seawater into the ship, wherein provided are an air bleed hole (14) located on the upper end wall of the port seawater-suction box (7) and for exhausting air mixed into the seawater, and a flow guide plate (16) for guiding seawater introduced from the seawater inlet (9) towards the air bleed hole (14) and thereafter towards the seawater outlet (13). The present invention is characterized in that the seawater introduced from the seawater inlet (9) comes into contact with one surface of the flow guide plate (16), becomes a diagonally upward rising flow, rises in the port seawater-suction box (7) and thereafter comes into contact with the other surface of the flow guide plate (16), becomes a diagonally downward falling flow, and flows towards the seawater outlet (13).
