Abstract:
Disclosed is a secondary battery deterioration degree computation device, which is capable of computing a level of deterioration of a secondary battery with high precision without continuing to consume power while the secondary battery is not in use, by acquiring a voltage value at the end time of the charging and discharging of a secondary battery; acquiring a voltage value at the commencement time thereafter of the initial charging and discharging of the secondary battery; acquiring an SOC of the secondary battery at either the commencement time or the end time; acquiring a length of an interval when the secondary battery is not in use (elapsed time) from the end time to the commencement time; dividing the absolute value of the difference between the voltage value at the commencement time and the voltage value at the end time by the elapsed time, acquiring a self-discharge slope of the secondary battery; using a self-discharge map that records the relationship between the SOC and the self-discharge slope on a per temperature basis to acquire the temperature during the not in use interval; computing the deterioration progress degree of the secondary battery in the not in use interval on the basis of the acquired temperature and elapsed time; and integrating the computed deterioration progress degree.
