Abstract:

In order to resolve the problem, a method for manufacturing a secondary battery, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: preparing an electrode assembly in which electrodes and separation membranes are alternatingly stacked; inserting, through an opening part, the electrode assembly into a battery case which maintains a constant outer shape; covering the opening part of the battery case; injecting an electrolyte into the battery case through an injection port formed in the battery case; closing the injection port; performing a pre-activation process; applying external force to a switch of a gas discharge device formed on one side of the battery case; allowing a gasket of the gas discharge device to move linearly and a gas discharge hole to be open; and discharging the first gas generated in the battery case to the outside in the step in which the pre-activation process is performed.
