Abstract:
The present invention provides technology for more suitably positioning an external terminal of a secondary battery comprising a stepped section. This method is for producing a secondary battery that comprises a wound electrode body configured from a positive electrode and a negative electrode and that includes a stepped shape in the three-dimensional outer contour thereof. A positive electrode precursor and a negative electrode precursor are layered on each other via a separator to form an electrode precursor layered body and the electrode precursor layered body is wound to form the wound electrode body. In particular, the electrode precursor layered body has a comb tooth shape in a planar view, and a stepped section is included in the wound electrode body as a result of winding so that the winding axis of winding is approximately parallel to the direction of extension of a terminal element of the secondary battery.
