Title:
SECONDARY BATTERY MODULE REMAINING LIFE DIAGNOSIS METHOD AND REMAINING LIFE DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/152901
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This secondary battery module remaining life diagnosis method includes steps of: acquiring charging information including the current, voltage, and state of charge of a secondary battery module; obtaining the current capacitance and internal resistance of the secondary battery module from the charging information, calculating a degree of degradation of the secondary battery module by comparing the obtained capacitance and internal resistance with the initial values of the capacitance and internal resistance, and setting this degree of degradation as a measured value; acquiring output information of the secondary battery module; calculating, using the output information, a predicted value of the degree of degradation by a prediction formula; comparing the measured value with the predicted value; and calculating remaining life when the difference between the measured value and the predicted value is less than or equal to a predetermined value. When the difference between the measured value and the predicted value exceeds the predetermined value, the secondary battery module remaining life diagnosis method corrects the prediction formula on the basis of the measured value and calculates a predicted value using the corrected prediction formula. This makes it possible to accurately determine the degree of degradation of the secondary battery module in a short time and estimate remaining life in accordance with a usage history.
