Abstract:
Provided is a secondary battery production method whereby generation of gas after final sealing of a battery element with an external cover material can be suppressed. The secondary battery production method comprises: enveloping, with an external cover material, a battery element having a plurality of electrode sheets and separator sheets which are disposed between electrode sheets that are adjacent to one another; introducing an electrolytic solution to the interior of the external cover material; and after the electrolytic solution has been introduced to the interior of the external cover material, pressing the battery element from the exterior of the external cover material for a predetermined period of time.
