Abstract:
A secondary battery is disclosed. A secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly having a first electrode and a second electrode; a case in which the electrode assembly is embedded; a cap plate coupled to the opening of the case, and having a first vent formed inside a vent hole; an electrode terminal provided in the cap plate, and including a first electrode terminal and a second electrode terminal; a lead tab including a first current collector tab for connecting the electrode assembly to the first electrode terminal, and a second current collector tab for connecting the electrode assembly to the second electrode terminal; and a second vent, which has a bottom surface spaced apart from the first vent, a side surface spaced apart from an inner wall surface of the vent hole while covering the vent hole, and a plurality of spark holes.
