Abstract:
A secondary battery comprising: an electrode component (31), a first terminal (11), a second terminal (21), and a top cover plate (41). The electrode component (31) comprises a first electrode tab, a second electrode tab, and a partition provided between the first electrode tab and the second electrode tab. The first terminal (11) is electrically connected to the first electrode tab. The second terminal (21) is electrically connected to the second electrode tab. At least one of the first electrode tab (11) and the second electrode tab (21) is insulated from the top cover plate (41). The secondary battery also comprises: a contact tab (12) attached to the first terminal (11) and an electrically-conductive tab (22) electrically connected to the second terminal (21). When the internal pressure of the secondary battery exceeds a reference pressure, the contact tab (12) acts under the effect of the internal pressure and comes into contact with the electrically-conductive tab (22), thus forming an electrical connection path running through the first electrode tab, the first terminal (11), the contact tab (12), the electrically-conductive tab (22), the second terminal (21), and the second electrode tab. The solution increases the safeness of the secondary battery.
