Abstract:
The present invention relates to a secondary battery capable of preventing battery ignition when exposed to an abnormally high temperature. Further, the present invention comprises a case having an anode lead and a cathode lead formed therein, wherein the case comprises: an outer layer exposed to the outside; an insulation layer positioned inside the case and insulated; a conductive layer laminated between the outer layer and the insulation layer, made of a conductive material, and contacting the anode lead at one side thereof and the cathode lead at the other side thereof; and a safety member which is formed in the middle of the conductive layer at less than a predetermined temperature to block electricity from flowing via the conductive layer, and which is melted at the predetermined temperature or higher to allow electricity to flow through the conductive layer.
