Abstract:
The present invention relates to a secondary battery comprising: a plurality of basic unit bodies having first electrodes and second electrodes laminated alternatively with separating membranes interposed therebetween; and an electrode assembly having separating films provided to surround the plurality of basic unit bodies such that the same are laminated repeatedly. The electrode assembly comprises protective unit bodies laminated on the outermost separating film, which is positioned on the uppermost end or the lowermost end among the separating films, respectively. The protective unit bodies are structured such that a second protective electrode, a separating membrane, and a first protective electrode are successively laminated on the outermost separating film positioned on the uppermost end or the lowermost end of the electrode assembly. The second protective electrode has a section coating structure so as to comprise a second collector and a second electrode active material portion having a second electrode active material with which the inner surface of the second collector is coated. The inner surface may be a surface that faces the center of the electrode assembly.
