Abstract:
The present invention relates to a secondary battery. The secondary battery of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly in which a cathode, a separation membrane, and an anode are alternately collected and stacked; and a pouch for receiving the electrode assembly therein, wherein the separation membrane is disposed between the cathode and the anode and comprises: a first separation membrane in which a through hole is formed to penetrate in a direction facing the cathode and the anode; and a second separation membrane which covers the through hole of the first separation membrane, and of which an end portion is connected to the pouch, wherein when an inner gas is generated by overcharging, the pouch inflates, thereby moving the second separation membrane, which opens the through hole of the first separation membrane, such that the cathode and the anode contact each other through the through hole.
