Abstract:
Disclosed is a secondary battery. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly for charging and discharging current; a case for accommodating the electrode assembly; a cap plate for sealing an opening of the case; an electrode terminal electrically connected to the electrode assembly so as to be withdrawn through the cap plate to the outside; a first valve assembly provided at an electrolyte injection port of the cap plate so as to open/close the electrolyte injection port; a gas removal port formed at the cap plate so as to remove gas; and a second valve assembly provided at the gas removal port so as to open/close the gas removal port.
