Abstract:
A secondary battery which is provided with an electrode group and an electrolyte, and wherein: the electrode group is provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator which is interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a positive electrode lead which is electrically connected to the positive electrode; the positive electrode and the negative electrode are arranged to face each other and are rolled up together, with the separator being interposed therebetween; the positive electrode is provided with a positive electrode collector and positive electrode active material layers which are disposed on both main surfaces of the positive electrode collector; the positive electrode collector has a first exposed part where the positive electrode active material layers are not disposed; the positive electrode lead is connected to the first exposed part; the negative electrode has a first region and a second region, while being provided with a negative electrode collector and negative electrode active material layers which are disposed on both main surfaces of the negative electrode collector; the mass of the negative electrode active material layers per unit area in the first region is smaller than the mass of the negative electrode active material layers per unit area in the second region; and the first region faces the positive electrode lead.
