Abstract:
The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a secondary battery in which contraction of a separator due to heat is suppressed. A secondary battery (10) according to an embodiment comprises: electrode bodies (14) each having a positive electrode (11), a negative electrode (12), and a separator (13) interposed between the positive electrode (11) and the negative electrode (12); a case body (16) which accommodates the electrode bodies (14); a seal body (17) which seals an opening of the case body (16); and a seal-body-side insulation member (18) disposed between the seal body (17) and one end portions of the electrode bodies (14), and a case-body-side insulation member (19) disposed between the case body (16) and other end portions of the electrode bodies (14). The one end portions and the other end portions of the electrode bodies (14) form protruding sections which are each a part of the separator (13) protruding from the positive electrode (11) and the negative electrode (12). The seal-body-side insulation member (18) includes a base material and an adhesion layer which is disposed on the base material and which includes a cured object of a curable resin. The protruding sections that serve as the one end portions of the electrode bodies (14) are adhered to the adhesion layer.
