The present disclosure addresses the problem of providing a secondary battery which is able to be reduced in size and weight in comparison to conventional secondary batteries, while being capable of withstanding charge and discharge with a large current. A solution for the problem is a secondary battery which is provided with a rectangular battery container, an electricity storage element, a collector plate 40 and an external terminal. The collector plate 40 comprises a base part 41, an extension part 42 which extends in a direction that intersects with the base part 41, and a bend part 43 which is provided between the base part 41 and a bonding part of the extension part 42. The bend part 43 has an arc-like curved surface 43a on the opposite side of the electricity storage element in a cross-section which is perpendicular to a surface 42b of the extension part 42, and which is along the extending direction DL of the extension part 42. The diameter d1 of a circle of curvature C1 of the curved surface 43a is not less than the thickness T2 of the extension part 42 continued to the bend part 43 and the thickness T1 of the base part 41; and the thickness T3 of the bend part 43 is not less than the thickness T2 of the extension part 42 or the thickness T1 of the base part 41.
