Abstract:
Provided is a secondary battery formed to have an electrode assembly and an exterior body for accommodating the electrode assembly. The secondary battery has a terminal member that is provided in the exterior body with an insulating material therebetween and connected to a tab of the electrode assembly. An opening through which the tab passes is provided in the exterior body, the terminal member is joined to an exterior body surface positioned around the opening with an insulating material therebetween, and a portion of the width dimension of a joint region, provided so as to surround the periphery of the opening for the joining, is small.
