Abstract:

The present invention relates to a secondary head device of a card printer and, more particularly, to a secondary head device of a card printer, wherein, even if the surface of a card is corrugated, excellent attachment and thermal transfer characteristics can improve lamination quality and printing quality. A secondary head device of a card printer according to the present invention comprises: a head case; a heating head installed in the head case; a cylindrical tube body for thermal transfer inserted into the periphery of the heating head; a tube body rotating space portion formed in the head case such that the tube body for thermal transfer is inserted therein and rotated; and a tube body guide member installed on the upper portion of the heating head so as to guide the rotational movement of the tube body for thermal transfer. The secondary head device of a card printer according to the present invention has the following advantages: a flexible tube body for thermal transfer is installed on the outer portion of the heating head such that, upon contacting the surface of a card, the same makes a surface contact therewith while forming a fixation nib, thereby guaranteeing that, even if the surface of the card is corrugated, excellent attachment and thermal transfer characteristics can improve lamination quality and printing quality. In addition, a variant of the secondary head device of a card printer according to the present invention has the following advantages: a tube body guide member is provided to guide the rotational movement of the tube body for thermal transfer and to prevent deformation and degradation thereof; sliding portions are formed on peripheral parts on both sides of the tube body for thermal transfer, respectively, so as to minimize frictional force; the rotational movement of the tube body for thermal transfer is accordingly facilitated, thereby securing operational security; and degradation of a specific part thereof is prevented, thereby improving durability.
