Abstract:
There is disclosed a secure storage unit for secure delivery of goods, and a secure method for the delivery of such goods. In one embodiment the secure storage unit is accessed by a two-part access code. In another embodiment the secure storage unit is accessed by the use of an access code in a certain time frame. A central controller preferably controls the delivery technique. The technique is particularly advantageous when used as a method of delivering goods ordered over the Internet. The delivery technique is controlled through a central hub, access to which is provided through a web-site. Participating retailers can only be accessed directly or through the hub.
