Abstract:
A security element (2) for a data carrier comprises an elastically deformable, preferably compressible region and a functional structure that creates a visual impression with a user, wherein the elastically deformable region and the functional structure interact with each other such that in a non-deformed state of the elastically deformable region, a visual impression of the functional structure is obtained that differs from the visual impression in a deformed state of the elastically deformable region.
