Abstract:
A security inspection method for liquid by radiation source and its device are provided in radiation detecting art. The method of the invention includes mainly the following steps: convoying objects detected into a work area inside a radiation shield; transmitting rays derived from a radiation source through objects detected and receiving rays by a detector; the detector transmitting radiation signals received to a data collector; the data collector amplifying the radiation signals and transmitting the data amplified and the data collected by a thickness probe to a data processing computer; the data processing computer dealing with the two sets of data, determining density and atomic number of the liquid detected, and comparing the results with density and atomic numbers of dangerous articles in a existing database to display information of objects detected. Compared with prior art, the present invention avoids to be effected by packages of liquid and have good interference immunity. The present invention has the following advantages: compactness, high accuracy, being easy to shield, safety and credibility in use.
