Description:
A SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

FIELD OF INVENTION The invention relates to a lifestyle and security companion system. More particularly, the invention relates to an interactive security management system based on mobile devices.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Crime rate of certain developing countries is extremely high compared to the developed countries and petty crimes such as purse snatching, pickpocketing, and residential burglaries are the most common crimes. In order to prevent these unfortunate incidents from happening, certain residential areas have formed a residential community and shielded themselves by installing fences surrounding the entire residential area and employing security guards to patrol the area and to regulate the accessibility of outsider into the residential area. However, such protection have their limitations. For example, the labour cost for employing sufficient amount of security guards to safe guard the entire residential areas is expensive and the fences can be easily trespassed if no monitoring took place. Furthermore, the visitors may be delayed at the entry of the security point because information is gathered and noted manually by way of conversation and handwriting, and further the security guard has to manually contact the corresponding resident for verification. Accordingly, a need exist to provide an interactive security management system to overcome the mentioned issues. The present invention provides such a system.

PRIOR ART US20130031611A1 discloses a web-enabled entry system for access control of visitors to a residential, commercial or institutional facility having or not receptionist at the entry point, where visitors to such facility should be authorized and/or the visit event should be recorded in a database. This web enabled entry system is for visitor self -registration, announcing and obtain access approval for coming into such facility by the means of a system including touch capable tablet computers, wireless communications, remote servers and methods to notify and validate users providing entry authorization. The system is also capable to provide video capture and streaming using a camera embedded in the tablet computer and with the use of an optional door controller the system allows remote opening of the door or gate. The system also can be optionally used to work in conjunction with a receptionist or guard that will assist the visitor, providing a temporary visitor badge. The system on this invention can replace the use of traditional unattended telephone entry (tele-entry) system or manned computer based visitor control systems typically assisted by a guard or receptionist.

WO2008045003A1 discloses a personal security system for a mobile communication device having a speaker and a messaging service, the personal security system comprising: a security device controller operable to trigger an alarm that sounds an sound alarm with the speaker and sends a community message to communication devices within a perimeter based on a location of the mobile communication device and to other communication devices pre-designated with the messaging service; and a configuration data repository accessible by the security device controller for defining information for activating and deactivating the personal security system.
