Title:
SECURITY AND MEDICAL RESPONSE MOBILE APPLICATION.
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/015082
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a security and medical application for a portable computing device such as a smart phone or the like. The application enables a user to relay information about their safety and medical well being and current location etc. back to a central location or selected emergency contact via the use of one or more soft buttons. Additionally the application provides a polling function where on the expiry of a pre-set time period the application prompts the user to enter user credentials (i.e. user name, password and security digit etc.) to validate the user. In the event that the user is not validated the system initiates an alarm condition. Alternatively if the credential entry is cancelled via a key press the device continuously sends location information to the system until the user logs out of the application.

CLAIMS

1. Timing Interval. After setup of timing interval for 30 minutes ( can be selected from 01 minute to 99 hours 59 minutes on thumb wheel) , then activated by logging in by entering a correct username and password, at the end the 30 minutes timing period, beeper in phone will beep for 2 seconds and a password window will appear, the correct password must be entered within 15 minutes failure to do so will cause a "X" code to be sent to server, if correct code is entered a " Y" code will be sent to server, and password window will clear, until the next 30 minute interval period elapses. Procedure continues till client deactivates App by pressing "log out" tab a password window appears, entering correct password will cause log out. In this way the client is continually being checked if physically able to respond to password request.

2. Duress Digit. When the timing interval period has elapsed beeper will sound for 2 seconds and a password window will appear, if the correct code is entered plus the extra digit which has been nominated in registration section by client on server, it will cause a duress code "B" and GPS position to be sent to server . Because client has responded to a duress situation he needs to be tracked there after, after which time a code "E" and GPS will be sent every 5 minutes till deactivated by user with a correct password code.

3. Cancel Call Button. If cancel call button is pressed a password window appears if correct password is submitted than a "U" code is sent to server to cancel last alarm. If the extra digit is added to correct password then it causes a duress code "B" and GPS position to be sent to server . Because client has caused a duress situation he needs to be tracked, after which time a code "E" and GPS will be sent every 5 minutes till deactivated by user with a correct password code.

4. Each mobile device will use its unique international phone number example 061448811846 comprising of 12 digits to be used for its ID and account file number, within our receiver software.

DESCRIPTION

TITLE Security and medical response mobile Application. FIELD. Mobile phone Applications BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention will provide the user a method of being able to relay information about their safety and medical well being back to control room staff or to friends and relatives. There are four buttons on mobile phone screen 1. Assistance, 2. Medical, 3. Log GPS, 4. Cancel call. After entering username and correct password information on sign in page, and submitted, login occurs on to a server. As this systems provides a way of checking that there is an interaction between the device and the user in the security aspect it would mean that the user is safe and should he be approached by some one he can get assistance from just pressing the assistance button which would send out an alarm and GPS position to the control room. Equally by asking for a password at regular period set by user should he be alone and suffer a disability medical problem or a collapse, failure to respond to a password check an alert would be sent to control room or friends and relatives.

[0002] This is the failure of systems available at the moment my system overcomes this problem by insuring that there is a constant interaction between the user and the device. And by providing the duress facility for the user by adding the extra digit to the password either when prompted for a password or by pressing the cancel call button, the user is safe doing it because no one knows how many digits the password contains, and there would be no alerts given out by device, only a silent signal sent to control room. send a relevant code and GPS position to the server indicating the problem. Or should he or she be forced against their will they can choose not to enter the password, a no password code will be sent, if they are forced to enter a password they can add the extra digit and a duress code plus GPS position will be sent to server requesting help, a alarm code will be sent no matter what happens.

Screen shots of device Figure 1 shows layout of alarm buttons and time interval password request, cancel call password request, and duress.
