Abstract:
A seismic damping metal plate which is used to join a pair of members to be joined and which exhibits energy absorption performance corresponding to the relative displacement between the members. The seismic damping metal plate comprises: a first joining section which is joined to one of the members to be joined; a second joining section which is joined to the other member; and a vibration absorption section which has a slit and is provided between the first joining section and the second joining section at a position in the path of transmission of a tensile force and a compressive force. The first joining section and the second joining section have a band-like shape which is substantially parallel to the direction of the relative displacement.
