Abstract:
An seismic isolator is disclosed, which comprises a pedestal body (1), a circular damper (3), a ball (2), a base plate (4), springs (6) and a seat (5). The pedestal body (1) and the base plate (4) are each provided with a recessed bearing surface (42) which is made up of a conical surface (421) and a depression of a portion of sphere (422). The ball (2) is placed in a space formed by the pedestal body (1) and the base plate (4) between the pedestal body (1) and the base plate (4), and is suffered by a certain of predetermined pressure, so that the ball (2) is deformed elastically, but is not used to subjected to the main load, the dead load of the building is mainly subjected by the circular bearing flat surface (12) pressing on the pedestal body (1). The circular damper (3) is placed on the circular bearing flat surface (12) within the pedestal body (1). The several springs (6) are inserted between the pedestal body (1) and the base plate (4).
