Title:
SELECTIVE BRAIN COOLING DEVICE CAPABLE OF CONTROLLING COOLING TIME WITHOUT EXTRACORPOREAL CIRCULATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/033996
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
According to a selective brain cooling device capable of controlling a cooling time without an extracorporeal circulation device, according to the present invention, the device is inserted in the nasal cavity of a patient at a scene where an emergency situation has occurred, and thus the brain of the patient may be rapidly and effectively cooled using liquid carbon dioxide stored inside the device. In addition, according to the selective brain cooling device capable of controlling a cooling time without an extracorporeal circulation device, according to the present invention, a main body part is manufactured into a form comprising a heat insulating material, and thus when the surface of the main body part makes contact with the inner wall of the nasal cavity, liquid carbon dioxide inside the main body part may maintain a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius or higher. In addition, according to the selective brain cooling device capable of controlling a cooling time without an extracorporeal circulation device, according to the present invention, the main body part is formed from a mesh material, and thus the volume of the main body part may be prevented from changing by means of high-pressure liquid carbon dioxide, and the brain may be effectively cooled by means of the cold of the liquid carbon dioxide.
