Abstract:
Disclosed is a selective breeding method for new germplasm of purple-orange Chinese cabbage. In the method, a selfing line 11S96 of purple-core Chinese cabbage is taken as a male parent and a selfing line 11J11 of orange Chinese cabbage is taken as a female parent for hybridization; on the basis that single strains having excellent heading properties are selected from an F2 population, molecular markers are used to select single strains having purple-core genes and orange genes; by means of three consecutive generations of single strain selfing, new germplasm of Chinese cabbage having green outer leaves and purple-orange head leaves is bred. According to the method, the purple-core gene and the orange gene are successfully combined together and then expressed in Chinese cabbage head leaves, thereby creating new germplasm of Chinese cabbage having purple-orange head leaves and laying a new foundation for Chinese cabbage nutritional quality breeding.
