Title:
SELECTIVE VAPORIZATION METHOD FOR PEST INSECT REPELLENT COMPONENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/085473
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a selective vaporization method for a pest insect repellent component contained in a plant essential oil, whereby the pest insect repellent component can be sufficiently diffused in a space such as an indoor space with the use of a thermal vaporization device equipped with a liquid sucking wick. As a means for solving this problem, provided is a method characterized by comprising vaporizing a composition for thermal vaporization, which comprises a plant essential oil and a solvent (A), by heating with the use of a liquid suction type thermal vaporization device to thereby selectively vaporize a pest insect repellent component (B) contained in the plant essential oil. Solvent (A): one or more kinds of solvents selected from a solvent (a1) which exclusively comprises an ester compound having a boiling point of 180°C or higher, and a solvent (a2) which comprises a mixture of hydrocarbon compounds having a boiling point range of 200-280°C.
