Abstract:
Plastic chips (2) are supplied in batches of quantity W1 to an electrification device (4) by a conveyer (3) and stirred for a predetermined time T in the electrification device (4). The electrified chips are all discharged and carried continuously to a drum electrode (5) at a rate of the quantity of W2 per hour by a screw feeder (20). The quantity W2 is determined such that the relation W1/T$m(F)W2$m(F)vxBxHxD is satisfied, where v is the circumferential speed of the drum electrode (5), B is the width of the drum electrode (5), H is the average thickness of plastic chips (2) supplied to the drum electrode (5), and D is the bulk density of the plastic chips (2).
